I don't seem to have lost anything super-important, but it would be nice to get them back for organizational retention purposes. I find it hard to believe that there's no way to peek at Outlook for Mac's files in non-obsure fashion. Googling hasn't turned up much beyond some expensive commercial solutions.
The individual message file store is inscrutable as well. For this, -> Start Outlook by holding the Option key.

I can't see how to attaches those databases as "local files" or otherwise just browse them. For the second problem, try switching the Identities to check if you have selected the correct Identity, that contains all your data. I would just like access the backups directly and pull out the messages from a few subfolders. I already blew the account and Outlook and reattached it to the Exchange account, but it's clear that the deletions were already synced to the server and simply don't exist there any more.
I don't see how I can access those databases nor the individual messages in a manageable way to see what's in there. The Database file and its folders are located here: /Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2011 Identities/Main Identity/Database /Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2011 Identities/Main. Or when user needs transferring of his/her email data form 1 Mac system to some other Mac system. Outlook stores only the indices in the Database (with a capital D) file and stores the data records as a series of files nested within folders. Either when user needs to archive emails in outlook 2011, in order to have the data restored if in case of corruption of database or in case of Mac Outlook not functioning properly. I see that Outlook 2010 has backup databases it creates automatically and I think I have a couple in Time Machine.
